A little bit about Judy
|
Judy Aron isn’t your typical alt-pop, folk-rock, indie artist. Her music takes you on a sonic journey that effortlessly transcends genre, blending heartfelt storytelling with rich, atmospheric soundscapes. Through every lyric and melody, Judy lays bare her heart and soul — inviting listeners into the very experiences that shape her art. Writing songs since the age of 18, Judy has produced and released 15 solo albums — each one capturing a distinct chapter in her evolution as a writer, musician, and producer. In 2009, a chance meeting with Steve Coleman at a local pub sparked the creation of Chasing June. Known for their infectious energy, sharp musicianship and stellar harmonies, the duo quickly became critic favorites, earning airplay and acclaim across regional platforms. Together, they’ve released three collections that continue to resonate with fans and DJs alike. Recently, Judy has explored her love of instrumental composition — crafting genre-bending, cinematic tracks as creative interludes between lyrical projects. These releases showcase her versatility and deep sense of musical adventure. In May 2024, Judy released Muses — a heartfelt tribute to the female artists who shaped her musical identity — followed by Don’t Wait Up in September, a bold and emotionally charged EP that may be her strongest work to date. 2025 produced another instrumental album, “There are no Words”, and her first Christmas album, Sleigh What? Her music is streamed worldwide, and several of her songs have been licensed for films such as Hero Mode, Paige, Creature, and the acclaimed indie film 3, which features her band’s music throughout. In 2025, she signed with Deko Entertainment, a branch of Warner Bros music. New horizons await. Never one to stand still, Judy continues to write, record, and reinvent — always chasing new sounds, new stories, and new ways to connect. |
