I had it figured out as just a kid.
No one made much sense, but I did.
I had a plan to make it to the top,
And once I got there, I wasn’t going to stop.
Then I was introduced to real life, and
All my projects got pushed aside.
There they lie, in a dreamer’s grave –
Right next to hearts to win and planets to save.
I’m not sure,
Anymore
Who I am.
I thought I’d make a difference.
I thought I’d change the world,
But I forgot the girl...
She’s watching from the past.
Seeing how long I’ll last.
I’m fading fast.
So now my master plan
Has turned to a desk job with twenty grand.
I write songs as a release,
Because I can’t afford therapy.
I’m not sure,
Anymore
Who I am.
