Get Over It
Hey, Hey...Why
don't you come out and play?
Seems a shame to lock yourself inside on such a lovely day.
Peering out between your
window blinds.
Staring off at the world
you’ve left behind.
When all your sentimental
sorrows
Are haunting
all of your tomorrows.
You can’t afford to live that
way.
You’ll dig yourself an early
grave.
Get up, get out, get over it.
Go on - Live life just a
little bit.
Get by, get through just
another day.
Go on - it’s just life
anyway.
I’ve seen the way you’ve shut
yourself off from society
As if no one understands the
pain that you’ve seen.
You’d rather sit alone
silently inside
While the rest of the world
passes you by.
And while you sit around and
linger
Time is slipping through your
fingers.
If you ever had to move,
I don't think you’d know what
to do.
There’s a world waiting past
your door
And it’s offering so much
more
And you just have to explore
To see what you’re missing.
